We would like to formally invite you to register for our event.
Welcome to the 2023 National Indian and Native American WIC Coalition Conference.
For this year’s NINAWC Conference we will be back in-person! This conference offers an excellent opportunity to acquire new skills and to network with peers and colleagues along with exhibitors who provide WIC related products and services. While at the conference, we invite attendees to share strategies and successful practices for improving WIC services.
The theme for the conference “We are Resilient: Celebrating Traditions and Reimagining the Future” provides participants with an opportunity to carry our heritage into current times without comprising time-honored beliefs.
We are opening registration to our member organizations before providing the registration link to others who serve indigenous people. This is a major perk for your membership as the number of onsite attendees is limited. You can also register your virtual attendees.
Schedule (all times are central):
- Day one, July 25th: 9am to 5pm, reception 6-8pm offsite
- Day two, July 26th: 9am to 5pm, evening on your own
- Day three July 27th: 9am to noon
Please register your group to attend. You will need to pay $125 per registrant. The system accepts credit cards. To pay by check: contact Susan or Nichole at 985-624-3514 for an invoice for your attendees and an online system registration code.
As you plan to enter your team, here is what we will be asking:
- Email for each individual
- Hotel rooming choices (or checking commuter if attendee is local)
- Roommate? If both parties do not indicate this, then we will not combine them
- How did you hear about the NINAWC Conference
- How many NINAWC Conferences attended
- Dietary Allergies/Restrictions
- ADA accommodations that may be needed
Each person registering will be provided entrance to the conference and exhibits for three days. We have hotel rooms available for attendees and each will have up to three nights. The nights begin on July 24th with check-out on July 27th. If you wish to extend this on either end, you will need to contact Catherine at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Most meals will be included - 3 continental breakfasts and 2 lunches. We will wrap up before lunch on Thursday, July 27th. We will also have a reception at the First American Museum with appetizers on Wednesday, July 26th in the evening.
The full schedule and more information will be released shortly. We are finalizing the last of the sessions with our speakers.
If you or an individual on your team are making the reservations for all of your team members, we have a spreadsheet that can be directly imported to the reservation system. Please contact us and we will share it with you.
OPTIONAL: You can also register attendees to participate in the virtual conference. There will be a limited agenda which will include the keynotes and one workshop per round of breakouts (pre-selected). When you click to register, you can pick onsite or virtual. There is no fee for the virtual participation.
